As my username indicates, I do pastor a very small church, serving (joyfully and very gratefully) in a position which demands many hours but offers very little pay. My wife also serves in Christian ministry, working with a beloved missions organization which relies on "donor support" (which, unfortunately, fluctuates at times) for her income. We also have three precious children, whom we dearly love, which adds to the financial needs of our family.

We both serve many wonderful people in jobs that we love, and which we know beyond doubt that we've been called by God to serve in, but the salaries that we receive fall short of meeting our family's basic needs (mortgage and bill payments, food, gas, clothes for our children, etc.). The people to whom we minister are as generous as they're able to be (with many of them being children or senior adults on fixed incomes, whom aren't able to contribute monetarily), but as with many ministry positions, our jobs only pay a fraction of what many similar secular positions would offer.

We're extremely thankful for the work that we do, and we both work very hard at our jobs and are frugal with all of our money. We also see God blessing our ministries in new ways every day (Otherwise, we'd be motivated to leave our ministries in pursuit of other work.), but the financial situation is still quite desperate for us, and I'm seeking a little bit of assistance, if anyone might possibly be able to help us, so that we can perhaps overcome the debt that we currently have and get back where we really need to be financially.

As you know, the bills just never stop coming, no matter what your financial situation might be. Of course, we're faced monthly will all of the same expenses that everyone has (mortgage payments, bills, food, gas, car repairs, etc.), but we also have a lingering balance on an old student loan ($3,030 remaining), and some lingering credit card debt ($4,200 remaining - primarily due to car repairs, urgent home repairs, and necessary food purchases when no other money was available), which - as you know - continues to accrue interest if it's not paid off.

We live VERY simply, and do all that we possibly can to not waste anything. As Christians, we always strive to be good stewards of everything with which God blesses us (money as well as resources), but the bills and debts continue to be more than we can financially handle on our own, and we urgently desire to get rid of the debt that we have (which takes a significant portion of our monthly income, and still gains interest until it's completely paid off) so that we'll once again be able to use all that we make to cover our monthly bills and provide for the most urgent needs of our children.

Getting out of debt would not only enable us to cover all of our monthly expenses with what we currently make, but it would also finally give us some "peace of mind", knowing that - for the immediate future - we'll be able to keep the bills paid, food on the table, and gas in our vehicles as we need to.

Will you please prayerfully consider whether you might be able to assist our family in this hour of need? Words can't explain how much it would mean to us if you're able to help, regardless of what you're able to give.

Every single penny given to us will be used to meet these incredibly urgent needs in a way that will surely be pleasing to the Lord, and we will joyfully lift up prayers of thanksgiving and blessing on behalf of anyone who is able to assist us in some way, whether your gift be great or small!

Thank you, in advance, for your sincere consideration of this special request - and, if you're willing, for any prayers that you might lift up for us asking God to guide us in wisdom in the days to come and to provide for our family's most urgent monetary needs! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
