I am being taken to court for custody of my five-year-old son Maliki, to make a long story short. I do not have the full details at this time. Although this has nothing to do with DCFS or CPS, this money raised will help me pay for my lawyer to ensure the best outcome for my son. Custody battles are not cheap (go figure), and as a single mother, I do not have outside support that would be able to help me. It would be difficult to pay for this lawyer even with my income while keeping a roof over my child's head. I just want the best outcome for my son.
