Alright folks, my company is sending me to Alanya for a project and I have got a full week to kill after the job wraps up. Thinking of renting a motorbike to explore the coast instead of sitting by the hotel pool the whole time. Worth it?

Definitely grab a bike if you have a whole week, the coast road towards Gazipasa and the mountain routes behind the city are way more fun on two wheels than stuck in a taxi or a bus. Just watch out for the tourist traffic in the centre during peak hours because some drivers clearly got their licence from a cereal box. Avoid the strip joints that rent out battered scooters with bald tyres, pay a bit more for a proper shop that hands you a contract and a bike that does not look like it survived a war zone.
