I asked dozens of women where they hang out and where they would actually be comfortable meeting a guy. The girls I spoke to live all over the world, span in ages from twenty to forty-five, and despite their differences, they all shared similar answers, with bars being the most popular response. But we already knew that women hang out in bars. To give you more chances of meeting your potential partner, here are eight places to consider when thinking about where to meet women. Where to Meet Women: Top Places. 1. Classes. Whether it’s pottery or yoga, classes are one of the top places to meet women. First of all, it shows that you have a shared interest. Second, many women love a guy who explores his hobbies. It shows that dates can be more than just Netflix and chill. Finally, you’ll likely find these classes are mostly filled with women, giving you a rather large pool to choose from. However, you must be very cautious with how you approach women in classes, or they may suspect an ulterior motive. It’s probably not going to work if you try to obviously pick them up, but start slow and see where it goes. Make simple conversation to break the ice (get to know you questions will come in handy here), and continue to foster the relationship with each class you attend together. Eventually, you’ll be able to ask for her number in a genuine, unassuming way. Or you can always ask if she wants to grab a coffee or go for a walk at the end of a class. 2. Events. When it comes to meeting women, events that cater to your interests are the ideal place to look. Not only are they often co-ed and organized situations to meet people, but if she’s a part of the event, chances are you have at least some of the same interests. Into meditation? Enjoy looking at art? Big fan of tennis? Improv or poetry lover? Look for local events in your area and sign up to attend. You can even meet women at business or networking events, or local speed dating which takes the pressure off of everyone. Now for the hard part — actually meeting a woman. The easiest and most foolproof way to do this is to approach a woman who’s on her own. Maybe she’s on the fringe of the crowd or sipping her drink alone in a corner. Seize your chance and strike up a conversation. Not only will you make her feel more comfortable and less alone (which will already score you major brownie points), but you’ll get to engage without being intimidated by a crowd of other girls. This is one of the most overlooked places to meet women because as an adult, you may count out the idea of playing on a sports team. However, you can find these teams in pretty much every city, and it’s a wonderful way to meet women around the same age who are interested in the same things you are. The most common co-ed sports teams are typically soccer, but it really varies. Some of my friends play on a co-ed kickball team, half of which have ended up dating each other. One of the best parts of this is that games are often followed by drinks, which means ample time for socializing off the field. 4. Volunteering. Volunteering is one of the best places to meet women because at least you know she’s a decent person from the get-go. Of course, you should never sign up for a volunteering event just because you’re looking for a place to meet women. But if there’s a hottie in your group, who’s stopping you from asking for her number, especially if you hit it off during the day? Some places to volunteer include a local soup kitchen or food pantry, shelters, animal sanctuaries, and charity shops. Volunteering can be especially impactful around the holidays, so if you’re looking for a double header of doing good and potentially meeting someone in the process, this is the prime avenue to take. 5. Concerts. Concerts are among the best places to meet women because you already have something in common: your taste in music. Break the ice by asking about their favorite song — just remember to be respectful during the set. While it may be hard to meet a girl while the concert is happening, preshow and after parties are dependable options. Scope out cuties around the bar or merch table. Props if you ask her out for a drink afterwards. 6. Social Gatherings. The woman of your dreams may be closer than you think. Don’t underestimate the power of mutual friends or acquaintances populating social gatherings you’re invited to. Attend with an open mind and you may walk out with a phone number. Some social gatherings may include birthday parties, general get togethers, dinner with friends, and beyond. When it comes to social gatherings, one of the easiest ways to meet women is to look for a girl hanging out on her own.
