I’m working on setting up a mobile ECU service — mostly field diagnostics and quick software fixes — so I’m searching for equipment that’s reliable, compact, and supports a wide range of protocols out of the box. I’d recommend choosing a tool that includes universal cables and adapters. When you’re working outside the workshop, you don’t want to carry five different kits just to read a single ECU. Also check whether the supplier provides remote activation support — that’s extremely helpful when you're on the road.
