I'm working on a project where I need to estimate paint quantities, labor, and costs for a bunch of different rooms and surfaces walls, ceilings, doors, trim, etc. Rather than figuring it all out by myself, I’m thinking of hiring professional painting estimators.
Has anyone used such estimators before? Here are a few things I’m wondering:

Has anyone used such estimators before? Here are a few things I’m wondering:
- How accurate are their quantity takeoffs for paint and prep materials?
- Do they also estimate labor hours, or do I need to figure that piece out separately?
- What kind of reports do they provide? (e.g. cost breakdowns by surface type, paint brand, labor, scrap, etc.)
- How long does it typically take to get a detailed painting estimate back from them?
- Do you know any reliable services or individual estimators with good experience?
