3 months ago, my father passed away from a sudden heart attack. Since then, it has been just my mother and me. A few weeks after his passing, debt collectors began visiting our home, demanding repayment of his outstanding loans. After reviewing all the paperwork and calculations, we discovered that my father left behind a total debt of RM200,000, equivalent to approximately $42,000 USD. My mother and I have had no choice but to sell much of our furniture and both of our cars in an attempt to resolve these debts.
