Advertising Day and Saint Publicity Day are celebrated on January 25th of each year . However, according to the Spanish collective bargaining agreement for advertising companies , if the day doesn't fall on a Friday, it will be moved to the first working Friday after that date, or, in other words, the last Friday in January .
The day of Saint Paul the Apostle was chosen as the patron saint because he was one of the apostles who preached the word of God with the greatest fervor. Originally, it was celebrated only by advertising professionals, but today everyone working in the digital sector—information technology, marketing, and communications—has Saint Paul the Apostle as their saint.
On the other hand, we have San Publicito , which emerged a few years ago from an original and ingenious Peanuts & Monkeys campaign . And Santa Publicita , an initiative by the Grow agency to give visibility to women with a patron saint for this day.
We encourage you to raise a glass with phone number database the whole team on Advertising Day, Saint Advertising Day, and Saint Advertising Day, and go for an after-work get-together (even if it's virtual). Let's celebrate traditional and digital advertising!

The origins of Saint Publicity on Advertising Day
To understand the origins of this advertising holiday, we must focus on three different legends that tell how Saint Publicity , our beloved patron saint, became a martyr in this, our wonderful world of advertising (and marketing). We don't know if the stories are true or not, but they add a little humor to the legends.
There's something for everyone, so everyone can choose the one they like best, find entertaining, or find engaging:
1# San Publicito scholarship holder
According to legend, Publicito was a poor intern in the sales department of an ordinary company, whose name has been lost to the memory of time. The young man, wanting to score a point with his new team, decided to create a PO (Purchase Order) in his advertising agency's management tool... Unsuccessfully, as expected. One of his clients called to request payment for one of his invoices. Publicito mustered his courage and, for the first time, confronted the dreaded tool. Unfortunately for him, it first demanded a child, then his blood, and finally his life. Thus ended the sad life of a young Publicito who had just begun his journey through the dark and sinister world of management and accounting tools in advertising agencies. RIP
2# San Publicito graphic designer
Another legend tells us that Publicito actually worked nights at a graphic design company. One of those nights, after facing more than 50,000 modifications and revisions from a client, the client asked Publicito to make the logo bigger. Publicito, who was tired and waiting to be told his shift was over and he could go home to rest after a long day, ended up being crushed by a giant logo. Nothing could be done for his life. RIP
3# San Publicito producer
Finally, the other legend surrounding our greatest boss tells of Publicito witnessing a true divine miracle. During one of his days working in a production department, good old Publicito found himself with a miraculous briefing with consistent deadlines, perfect timing, and a large budget to begin working with . Not a single snag, not a single if. Hardly believing it, Publicito went to print the job, only to have the bad luck that the 5-ink machine also swallowed his body. Since then, all advertising agency prints appear with a direct ink message as a tribute to his loss. RIP
Since we don't want to suffer the same fate as our beloved and admired Publicito, we're not allowed to work today (or at least not to the bare minimum), lest we get squashed by a logo, swallowed by a 5-ink typewriter, or end up devouring one of those evil management tools. It's best not to tempt fate. He, wherever he is, will also enjoy us. Here's to you, Publicito!
