Hello, my name is Joe. I’m a 20 year old male and I currently live alone. I haven’t had the best upbringing, being raised by my father, a drug addict, and my mother, an overworked change anxious woman. So last year I moved out, which definitely helped my mental health quite a bit. Though, given poor financial status to begin with, it’s been very difficult to keep up with rent and bills all on my own. I do have a full time job, working for a company as a manager that often gets overworked and rarely compensated for sacrifices that I make from my mental and physical health. I’ve been working since I was 16 in hopes of being “rich” by now but that’s not how life works. I pay rent, electric, internet, car payment, car insurance, and several other items each month, while only making $17.60 per hour. Yes, I do believe I’ve made financial mistakes, but I’m much happier now than I have been in the past. There’s a lot more to unpack so I’d be glad to share more but for now I’m just asking for help, if anyone faintly believes that I deserve help. Idk, just trying something new

Hello everyone

I am an international student, because of my study abroad life and my family, I have encountered very serious psychological problems. I am afraid of seeing people or even going out. I cannot continue my normal life and study. I even hope that I have never existed in this world.

So now I have no financial resources at all. But I hope I can regain the courage to live, so I am also seeking medical treatment and working hard to return to normal life. My name is Jack. My partner and I, Nico, are having trouble paying our rent this month. For some context - We were forced to move with 4 roommates last year three hours away from our hometown. It was that, or be homeless. The living situation was super toxic, constant screaming and almost physical violence. We worked hard this year, saved enough to be able to move back to our hometown. Nico worked at a big boy retailer that I won’t name, but the HR department at their job completely threw them under the rug and told us last minute Nico wouldn’t be able to transfer to another store in our hometown.

Meaning, Nico has been jobless these past two months, and we’ve been living off of my $12 an hour.

Our rent is $1,680, and we have utilities and credit card bills to pay on top of that. At the end of this month I will be getting paid again. $700 is all we will have to our name, and we will be homeless following the New Year if we cannot pay our rent.

I don’t know what we’re going to do. This is a desperate attempt to keep my home. Our home. The first home we have owned together that has felt like ours. I know it’s the Holidays, but absolutely anything helps.
