As a hobby I’m a stand up comedian. For work, I was a restaurant manager. Four years ago I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (very rare for my age, 5% chance). Along with a pancreas that no longer works I also have the ‘luxury’ of having random bouts of chronic pancreatitis. This year alone I spent 4 months in the hospital due to infections that don’t heal right, or chronic pancreatitis (extremely painful might I add). I live with my beautiful girlfriend in Vancouver Canada. Our rent is $1800 a month and my medications cost about another $400 a month (surgeries and overnights at the hospital are always free. But getting prescriptions for insulin, needles, blood sugar testers, and other medications to handle my triglycerides, acid reflux and pain medications add up fast).
My gorgeous girlfriend has been paying rent and covering my medications. I haven’t been able to work full time for over a year. I would just like to ask 2 things. Enough money to pay my part of the rent and something extra for a nice weekend away for us so I can show her how much I love her. I’ve figured I can pay a bit of rent, buy meds, and maybe take my girl out on a nice road trip. Probably around $5000 all in. She has no idea I’m doing this. But if i could surprise her after all she’s done for me then this is worth it.

Hello. On October 24th, my husband was cleaning out our car before our trip back home to Alabama because our son needed to get back to school (he missed a week and a half because we had to come back to Florida for a family emergency). As he was cleaning the car, a neighbor had called Jacksonville sheriff's office and reported him as breaking into our own vehicle. When the officer had arrived it was very clear my husband was not breaking into our own car however him and the officer on call have had a few prior experiences that ended not in his favor so the officer immediately detained him and illegally searched the vehicle in hopes to find any reason to arrest him. In this search he had found in our 14 almost 15 year old son's bookbag, a pair of brass knuckles that neither one of us had known about. Because he is a 6 time convicted Florida felon he got charged with possession of a weapon even though he had no knowledge of it being in there and is facing 15 years in prison with a $20,000 bond. All I need is $2000 to bond him out unfortunately with having to take my stepson back home and COVID being a key factor in our financial matters, I don't just have the extra $2000 laying around. Every option I could think of to get the extra money has been exhausted and failed me miserably. This was the last thing I could think of. Is he a convicted felon? Yes. Has he been responsible for why he's getting arrested in the past? Most definitely. Is it the case now? No because neither of us even knew our child owned a pair of brass knuckles, also he has been working his ass off for the last few years to stay out of trouble and turn his life around. Last year he turned himself in and did a total of 15 months (3 months longer than he was sentenced) to finally get his charges from 4 years ago done and over with. He just came back home to me in August and then this happens.... I just want my baby home. He's already missed Halloween and is missing Thanksgiving. Help me get him home before Christmas so that we both can spend the rest of the holidays together with our children as a family with him physically here instead of from behind a phone screen. I miss him so much and have been stressing extra to get him home. I have no one else there for me in my life except for my husband and our kids. Thank you in advance. I’m currently trying to get my life back on track, after battling addiction, losing everything, including my children, marriage and ultimately being disowned by my family. I moved to California 6 years ago to be an advocate for the homeless and I ended up being homeless, myself. I fought with my addiction and my past for 5years, while living out of a car and sometimes a tent in Marin county. July of 2020 changed my entire life when I overdosed on fentanyl. I went to rehab and now am living in a home in Clearlake California. Through the chaos that was my life I literally lost everything. My social security card, my identification card, my birth certificate, etc. I’m having one heck of a time getting those things, because I have no proof of who I am and I’ve never been a resident of California.
My current living situation, although I’m grateful for a roof over my head, isn’t particularly ideal. My boyfriend of a year is cheating on me, knowing I probably won’t leave because I have no money no job and no where to go.
That being said, I’m trying to raise enough money to get my documents I need to get a legitimate job and maybe find my own little place. I don’t care if it’s a studio in the yuckiest part of town. I just need that little kick to help me get back to myself and finally be independent ❤️
