I am currently supporting a homeless person (called Rowena) in Essex, England, ensuring she has a bed for the night, together with hot food and washing facilities, along with access to the everyday household items most of us take for granted like television and internet.  However, my work situation has dramatically reduced due to the current coronavirus situation.   Hence, I am not able to continue ongoing support for the person in question. 
 
The savings I had in place have now diminished and the financial help I had been receiving from family and friends has now also been exhausted. 
 
I am continuing to support her with the little financial means I have, but there will come a time (sooner rather than later) when I will not be able to continue with the limited resources I have.  
 
This will mean that Rowena will return to the street, where she will have no food or shelter and will be openly exposed to the coronavirus.   This together with falling temperatures as we approach the harsher months.   She receives minimal financial benefits and her only source of income will therefore come from begging on the streets and surviving off the generosity of the public. 
 
I first met Rowena approximately 18 months ago.   She was huddled in a doorway, trying to protect herself from the cold.   I sat with her for about 15 minutes, chatting to her about her life and her lifestyle.   After seeing her on the street on a couple of occasions, I asked her if she wanted to have a hot meal.  Naturally, at first, she was very sceptical of my intentions, but our relationship has grown into a true friendship, with both of us trusting each other completely.  
 
She is 36 years of age, has a 12 year old daughter she has not seen for several years (because of her homeless situation), and all she wants to do is get an even break and start to live what most of us would call a normal life.
 
I have taken her to meet some of my friends, gone for long walks in the country with her (her major passion is horses, as she was a keen horse rider as a youngster), and tried my utmost to give her as much as possible in terms of a “normal” lifestyle.    
 
I am therefore looking for any donation, of any kind, from any source, to try and aid the development and future safety and existence of my friend.   I would be grateful if you could donate anything at all.

Hi, my name is Cece. I lost my job a few months ago due to covid and I have been non stop job searching but still no luck. I have gotten the government funds and used them up to pay rent and bills the past few months but now I’m down to less than 100 in my account. I have borrowed money here and there too so I have some loans piling up and the government funds are not enough for me to pay off loans as well as rent and bills. I live with my grandma who is 80 years old and we will be evicted from our home next month if I cannot afford to pay rent.

Our family of 8 has 4 studying in college. We really need money for our expenses, as my mother only earns around 250-400$ a month, while my father has to rely on a small farm just for us to get by.


My 500$ scholarship is a great help for us, but I lost it due to the onset of the pandemic. This made things harder for us, as we now have no more money for our food and tuition expenses.

My name is Dinda, I’m currently a 5th-semester film student studying at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. I’m originally from Indonesia, and I came to America to chase my dreams - being a filmmaker and be the first woman in my family to obtain a degree.

When I first moved here, my parents are in good financial condition and has exactly enough to pay for my living costs and school tuition. They own their own advertising company. But in the past year, the business has been slow and they’ve completely cut me off. It’s not that they want to cut me off, it’s because they have to. My dad’s business went to ruins and they barely have anything to eat for themselves. I would get text messages from my mom saying that they’ve only eaten rice and eggs for the past week. When I heard about the difficulties my parents faced, I sold my laptop, I sold everything I have of value and moved to my boyfriend’s parent’s house with him.

I work hard for school. I received a 4.0 GPA last semester, and an average of 3.69 throughout my studies here. I’ve been on the Dean’s List for the past 3 semesters. I’ve been selected in a couple of local Indonesian film festivals too. 

With all that in mind, I guess what I’m asking is can you please help me out? I need to pay my school tuition fees this semester so I can continue my studies and work. The total amount of tuition this semester is 11,1128$. I used all the money I saved up to pay 2,149$ of it, so now the remaining balance is 8,979$. I need it ASAP.
Please, help me continue my education.
