hi i dont like asking for help so this is really hard but several things have just backed me againist the wall. my house and my moms house are both fixing to have no electric due to my mom being inhospital a hour away from me so driving back and forth. then i had a mammogram done which thye were going to dedct in payments instead thye took it all which wiped me out and now thye are want to do biopsy. i havent been able to work due to a gentic disese my mom passed down called charcot tooth disease which is a nuerological muscular desese so effects everyone in different ways. im applying for diability which is taking forever.  i need 500.00 to pay both electric bills as to not get cut off. and then ill figure out rest. My fiance and I have gotten ourselves into a mess. Currently sitting at over 35,000 in debt. When COVID hit I decided to quit my job and go back to school.  I love my major and it has all definitely been worth the struggle, however, the pay cut I took when I went back to school has caught up with me and I still have 2 years to go until I finish. My name is Alyssa. I was laid off from my job at the end of August. I live alone with my cat Prim in my apartment that costs 1700/month. I was also recently hit and ran while parked at my college during class - not note, nothing and of course cameras to blurry / far away to catch the a-hole. I don’t have the $1,000 needed for the deductible nor do I have funds to pay my electricity, wifi, car, phone, or insurance bills… I’ve maxed out credit cards and exhausted my savings as well as reached out to family members. In September my lease was up for renewal so that is what wiped me out and totally screwed me - total was about $3,000 and that same month my lease on my car was up so I had to come up with $ down for a new car ( yes the same car that was hit and ran! ) I had no idea life could turn upside down like this so quickly for me. I’ve turn to that scandalous site ( OF ) to make some extra cash but it really is not what people say- I’ve made less than $300 and it takes weeks for them to pay out. I’ve applied and interviewed for several jobs but none have panned out. Not even the local McDonald’s of Dunkins is hiring in my area. I recently went to job staffing place near me but have yet to hear back from them as well. I have immense anxiety and am at a loss as to what to do at this point. My fridge is bare and I just had to use spare change at 7/11 to buy my cat her dinner today. If there’s anything anyone can spare at all I would greatly appreciate it. My fiancé and I were planning to meet each other this Christmas after almost a year of being apart and dealing with the issues we've had during that time.
We're trying to get enough money for her to come across the country so she can see her family and me but we're both afraid we'll come up short, so I'm turning to forums like this for help.
$350 is around the standard price for a bus ride from North Dakota (where she is going to college) and Texas (Where I currently live).
She's been donating plasma and I've been helping my grandfather out with his house but neither pays well enough in such short notice.
