hi I’m Jean. I decided this year at 26 to go back to college and start a new career path. I’m struggling to pay the rest of my tuition and my rent with the job I currently have. I’m overwhelmed and could use a bit of your help. I’m trying to pay off my credit cards so I can have a clean slate. I am hoping to collect 850 to pay off my cards and only use them for school needs/utilites. Anything will help. I greatly appreciate it.

Suffering from Social Anxiety, need help to make ends meet. |

My story is pretty basic to be honest. I'm a Canadian citizen, struggling with social anxiety disorder, which makes it hard for me to work, and just need a helping hand. I don't have a friend circle, thanks to my social anxiety, and my family can't really help out the way they would like to, they are going through things of their own. I don't need much, but enough for essentials here and there really does help. Thank you in advance!!

Dear friend,
I understand you might not want to just hand over cash to a total stranger like me, but I'm here to tell you I really, really need some cash.
Ok, here goes:
I'm 18 and I'm living on less than $20 a week, a room is provided for free by my parents, but I have to buy everything I need on less than $20.
I really need some some new clothes for winter and I just want to be able to buy some more food.
I'd really appreciate any donation you can offer. Even if it's just $10 or $20. Anything would be an immense blessing.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!

I am 21 years old, living alone, working full time, and a full-time student. I could really use any help at all on bills and rent. I am slowly falling behind and am scared to not be able to afford bills.

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to read my story.
5 years ago my dad passed away and I had to give up work toncare for him and use my savings to pay for the funeral as the insurance company wouldn’t pay out.
After this, I met someone who told me she loved me and we bought a home. Since then, this woman has run up debt on cards and loans in my name, and also alienated me from my friends and family.
She has kicked me out of the home and I’m sofa hopping with friends, trying to keep my head up and my health. I’m now running out of places to stay, and can’t afford to rent a place, or pay the debt that has been wracked up.
My work isn’t often and when it is, it’s just enough to pay for food and essentials (like phone bill in order to get work).
I’m hoping against hope that people out there can help me. Whatever donation you can give to Paypal.me/needhelp453
Thank you so much.
Paul

This all started back in December of 2017. I took my then 2 year old to his well child visit to find that he had dangerously high levels of lead. Then I took my then 6 year old daughter to see if she did as well. Her levels were above a safe level but not as high as my son's. My other 4 children were old enough they weren't considered a concern.
Environmental health came in and found that the house we were renting was so full of lead in such high levels that it would never be safe for a child to live there. My landlord refused to do anything or give us the option of another house. Environmental health kept saying they would help us get a place but they never did.
It came down to being told my options were to move out, send my kids to live with family, or CPS would be involved and would place them for me. So we left in February of 2018 after the environmental investigation results had came back.
We have been staying in a motel paying over $1000 a month which is basically all I make. The transmission had went out of our car before we left the house and I couldn't afford to fix the car and get in the motel. I work 40 or more hours a week trying to get ahead and get us out of here but it's just not happening. This town does not have a homeless shelter and all of the income based apartments have 2 year or longer waiting lists. I can't afford 1500 or more people want to move in for the first months rent and deposit.
This is literally my last option. I absolutely hate having to ask for anything, but I don't have family here, they're 5 1/2 hours away and couldn't help anyway. Anything would be greatly appreciated, I just want my kids back to having a somewhat "normal" life. A motel is not the best place for them to grow up.

Struggling Teacher in Dire Need |

Hi, I am a young teacher in NYC who is in dire need. I currently sleeping on my mother's couch as it is too expensive to afford rent on my salary at this time. I was saving for a down payment for an apartment but was robbed a few months ago and had to use my small savings to replace my valuables and ended up in debt. I have been working 2 jobs since then but it has been difficult to save money since I assist my mother with bills, pay my own utilities, and am paying off debt.
I have always wanted to purchase a home in my community because it is important for me to give back to those in marginalized communities. I currently teach in the same neighborhood I am from and currently live in (South Bronx) and I want to be able to establish roots here. I could have chosen to teach in a more affluent school district but I want to provide opportunities for disadvantaged youth like my teachers did for me. Unfortunately, this means that I have to struggle financially. In addition, gentrification in the South Bronx has caused rents to sky rocket, making it difficult for local residents to keep their homes and I am worried that my family and I will eventually be pushed out of my childhood home. My parents are immigrants who have worked hard for 30 years and owning property has always been a far fetched dream for us. I need assistance in raising money for a down payment so that we can have a secure home to live in without worrying about where we will live next. Any bit helps (PayPal Link below). Thank you for your contribution. God bless you.
