My name is Alistair Strydom and I am from South Africa. I am a husband and a father of three children. In April 2017, I decided to take the severance package at the company I was working for. I decided to do this so that we can start our own business. Fast forward to now, well, it didn't work out so well. Our business fell apart and we lost all our money and we couldn't finish paying our mortgage. At the moment we still owe a lot on our home. We can't afford to pay the monthly installments on our home due to the fact that both my wife and I are unemployed.


It is extremely difficult for my wife to find work in our country, due to her disability. Tracy (my wife) is always trying to look for ways to see where she can make some money for our family. She receives disability grant on a monthly basis as well.


I applied for work at several companies, but to no avail. I can't find work, even though I have a qualification (Diploma) in Electrical Engineering. I have a little business where I transport school children. The money I make here is not nearly enough to pay for all our expenses. Within the first 2 weeks of the month, then our money is finished. After that, we have to borrow money from friends and family. To tell you the truth, I am tired to live this way. This is not living at all.

I've attached pictures to show how much we still owe on our home. As well as the letter that states when I left the company I worked for.


Here is a breakdown of our total earnings per month:
• I make R2120.00 ($147.00) per month
• Disability grant = R2800.00 ($194) per month
•• Total Earnings = R4920.00 ($341.00) per month


Here is a breakdown of our monthly expenses:
•Water and electricity bill = R2500.00 ($174.00)
• Loans = R2900.00 ($202.00)
• Mortgage = R4000.00 ($278.00)
• Tv License = R100.00 ($7.00)
• School fees = R250.00 ($17.00)
• Petrol (Fuel) = R3000.00 ($208.00)
• Food = R4000.00 ($278.00)
• Toiletries = R600.00 ($42.00)
•• Total =  R17,350.00 ($1206.00) per month


Here is a breakdown of our total outstanding debt:
• Mortgage = R400,000.00 ($27,794.00)
• Water and electricity = R16,000.00 ($1,112.00)
• Loans = R31,000.00 ($2,154.00)
• Tv license = R400.00 ($28.00)
• School fees = R3,000.00 ($208.00)
• Car license = R3,500.00 ($243.00)
•• Total = R453,900.00 ($31,539.00)


I am looking to raise $31,539.00 to help me pay for our mortgage and all of our other outstanding debt.


I don't want my family to live on the street. We have nowhere to go. We can't lose our home that we've worked so hard for.

Hi everyone. Me and my husband are in desperate need of help. We never ask for help but we are now needing to. I have been recently diagnosed with cancer and have had to travel to see doctors and more testing. My husband has also been ill and has been of work for the last three weeks and has had no pay and then was rushed into emergency surgery last weekend. He has no unemployment as he just finished a claim and got back to work when he took ill so now we have no income and have two months before he can get back to work and get a pay. Our rent will soon be due in nine days  and our monthly bills and food and medications on top of that. We need help now more than we have ever needed it in our entire life so please if you can help even just a little please please please. It would be so greatly appreciated. if no help comes we will lose everything. who can help us.

I'm not sure how to go about asking someone I don't know for help, but I'll just let the person reading this know what's currently going on. I work for a local fast food restaurant, and I am a single dad. My daughter is 4 years old, she will be 5 in August. Her mother and I didn't really see eye to eye, and she decided without any warning about 2 months ago, that she was ready to leave. So she did, and very rarely will she contact me, but when she does, it's truly heartbreaking. I hate knowing that she would rather do...God knows what; instead of being here with her daughter. I'm sorry for going on about that, I just KNOW that was the turning point, when life immediately became that much harder. My mother passed in 2011, and my father in 2016, and I've never felt as alone as I do right now. I've contacted local churches to see if they could possibly help us, as well as asking some friends for help. Nothing has worked out, and that's why I'm here. As of posting this, I don't know what to do. Genuinely. We are short $315 on rent, $100 for electric, and $85 for her lunches at school. Again, I no longer have any idea on what to do, and that's what I'm writing this. If ANYONE could help us get these 3 things taken care of, it would mean so very much to us, and my daughter any I would be inclined to write you a thank you card and send it to your email when she gets out of school later today. Hi! I have done everything I can to lower my bills this month but due to car tags I have no money left to buy food for myself. ? The food pantries we have are only open when I’m at work and I would rather not miss any days if possible.

since May 28th 2018 our lives have been turned upside down I sleep wherever I can, the place where I'm at right now are telling me that if I don't pay rent within the next couple days they're going to kick me out and the city utilities are scheduled for shut off tomorrow.


everybody is trying to hold on for me but we've all been waiting since May 28th my kids want to be back with me I don't have a stable place to allow them to be so I have to keep them in the custody of my ex-wife right now.


I look for jobs I can't get no jobs anywhere because of my lawsuit, I know what I was fired for, for going to jury duty it's the only thing that we talked about I don't know what to do.


I have no friends or family here, I am fighting all these lawsuits on my own I'm overwhelmed I'm dealing with DFS cuz I can't care for my children like this is all stuff that I never would have imagined it in my life that I would be dealing with I was a successful person here in July and everything was taken away from me and I don't know what to do I have no answers, the only thing I see is what's in black and white and I see that the state of Wyoming and the appeals division for unemployment made a bad decision they let me down, I should have had unemployment and my family has suffered so much because of this.


I am a single father with a 16 year old who is have raised from 3 years old till now with no child support.


I have always kept employment here in Gillette, Wy and I am a CAT mechanic but the last 12 months have been really bad and we have sold  everything we own, the reason I am having difficulties finding work is I am suing two local companies that I worked for.


The main company has been blackballing me from new employers, I have even been working with Gov. Matt Mead, Deputy Director John Ysebaert and Guy Hadley and they have even asked if I considered moving out of Gillette or the state because they see that I am being treated unfair.


Unfortunately I do not have the funds to move or we would go to Colorado, but for now we need some sort of emergency help.


We have no family or friends here and all my family has already helped as much as they can, I have used every resource in Gillette but to come up with rent and electric is not looking good.

Please hear me out. Hello everyone I’m Damian and I’m struggling to pay my car insurance. I have a job and i don’t mind hard work but I’m backed up on my car insurance. I really dont want to lose my car it’s my first ever car and I couldn’t afford to maintain the insurance. I have other bills every week to pay but insurance is the most expensive and I’ve tried to work around getting the money for it but as always something negative comes up. I’ve just got a notice from the dmv telling me about termination of insurance and if I can’t pay it before the 26th my license plate will get revoked which is a very short time to get that significant amount of money. the amount due for reinstatement is $1200 for the months I missed. If I lose my car I lose my job and things get even worse which I drive about 25 mins to work which for right now is the only job I have. I’ve been applying and looking for another so I can comeback up with the money quicker atleast it’s rough. I’ll be able to get back on track and maintain once again i get it caught back up because I’ll have time until the next payment. I have bills back to back but EVERY couple of dollars will help. I downloaded this app last year. You complete short paid and unpaid surveys. Since last year using the app sporadically I have earned £42 paid via paypal. For paid surveys I have gotten a minimum of £1 and a maximum of £5 a survey. It's not a huge amount but every little helps. If I remember to go onto the app more often I am sure I would have earned more.

Surveys include talking about how you're feeling, what you may be celebrating at certain times of year etc. Paid tasks I have completed include telling them what I have had for dinner and taking a picture of it, showing some products I've bought and taking a picture of it as well as logging how well I have slept.
